My Stadium Seats! Restored and Rebuilt

I don’t know about you, but my seats were caked with rust. I was pretty disappointed when I got them, but i suppose it made sense given being out in the elements for 50 years.

I ended up taking apart everything – removing all rust (with help from evapo rust and a buffing wheel on my grinder.) There was even a ton of rust on the plastic seats which had somehow seeped in. Luckily it all came off.

Paint is all still original with the exception of the small brackets (see pictures of those bracket before and after which clearly had to be repainted). There were a few touch ups here and there on the main chair frames where I had to remove rust.

It was a lot of work, but overall a fun project to restore.

My next project is to build some picture frames to show pics of me and my kids at misc games over the years.

I’m excited to head back to buffalo this season to see the new stadium. Go Bills!
